The Employment Unit in Åstorp Municipality is looking for an engaged and multilingual employment coach who wants to support people on their journey towards work, studies, and self-sufficiency. Through coaching, guidance, and motivational work, you will become an important part of our efforts regarding activity requirements and other labor market initiatives.

You will work within the Employment Unit, which is organized under the Municipal Executive Office in Åstorp Municipality. The operational goal of the Employment Unit is to offer meaningful engagement and to help guide participants further to the open labor market or education.

Who are you?

You are a person who believes in people's ability to develop and take steps towards self-sufficiency. You have a coaching approach, are receptive, and have the ability to create trusting relationships. You are confident in meeting people with different backgrounds, experiences, and conditions, and can motivate individuals to take responsibility for their own development. We are particularly looking for you who are multilingual, and knowledge of Arabic is especially meritorious.

We are looking for you who have experience working with labor market issues, coaching, guidance, or social work. You are accustomed to developing and leading group activities and have experience working with people who are far from the labor market.

You have a good ability to motivate and inspire people to change and work in a structured and self-directed manner. Furthermore, you have good administrative skills, are easy to collaborate with, and build trusting relationships with both participants and cooperation partners.

It is meritorious if you speak one or more additional languages in addition to Swedish.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in behavioral science, social work, pedagogy, or other education that the employer deems equivalent.
• Category B driver's license.
• Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish.
• Be self-directed by taking responsibility for your task, having a structured work method, and the ability to drive processes forward.
• Good knowledge of society.
• Good ability to lead cooperation between the individual, different authorities, and potential prospective employers.
• Positive and open view of humanity.
• Courage and ability to work in a solution-focused manner.
• Ability to create good relationships.

Meritorious

• Experience of municipal labor market activities.
• Experience of working with individuals covered by labor market policy measures.
• Knowledge of Arabic.
• Experience of motivational interviewing (MI) or solution-focused work methods.
• Experience of cooperation with the Swedish Public Employment Service, social services, or other authorities.

The employment is a permanent position starting with a six-month probationary period.

Salary form: Monthly salary.
Employment type: Permanent position.
Duration: Start date: 2026-09-01.
Working hours: Daytime. Monday - Friday, 07:00 - 16:00.
